Welcome to PackMark Movers (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website www.packmarkmovers.com (the “Site”) or any of our moving, packing, storage, or related services (the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Services
PackMark Movers provides residential and commercial moving services, including local, long‑distance, and specialty moves. All Services are subject to availability, scheduling, and the terms outlined in your service agreement or bill of lading.
We reserve the right to modify, refuse, or discontinue Services at our discretion.
2. Quotations and Payments
2.1 Estimates
All quotes are non‑binding estimates unless otherwise specified. Final pricing may vary depending on actual labor time, materials used, access conditions, and other factors discovered during the move.
2.2 Binding Quotes – Flat Rate Price Lock Guarantee (Long‑Distance Moves Only)
PackMark Movers offers a Flat Rate Price Lock Guarantee (“Binding Quote”) exclusively for long‑distance moves. When all required conditions are met, the quoted flat rate is fully binding and will not increase.
Eligibility
The Flat Rate Price Lock Guarantee applies only to long‑distance moves.
Local, hourly, and specialty moves do not qualify.
Inventory Accuracy
The guaranteed price is based on the customer’s provided inventory list.
• Additional items not listed may require a revised quote.
• Substituting items for larger or heavier ones may also affect the price.
Access Conditions
The price lock is based on the access conditions provided, including:
• Stairs or elevator availability
• Parking distance
• Building restrictions
• Loading dock access
• Long carries
Changes to access conditions may void the price lock or result in additional charges.
No Additional Services Added
The Flat Rate Price Lock applies only to the services included in the original quote.
Additional services such as:
• Packing
• Materials
• Storage
• Junk removal
• Extra labor are billed separately.
Customer Preparedness
To maintain the price lock, the customer must ensure:
• Items are packed and ready if they chose self‑packing
• Appliances are disconnected
• Boxes are sealed and labeled
• Hallways and entryways are clear
Unforeseen Circumstances
The Flat Rate Price Lock does not apply to delays or complications caused by:
• Elevator outages
• Building access restrictions
• Customer delays
• Road closures or weather conditions
• Items requiring special handling not disclosed at booking
What Is Guaranteed
If all conditions are met, the quoted flat rate for the long‑distance move is fully binding.
• No hidden fees
• No hourly overages
• No surprise charges
• No changes to the agreed flat rate
2.3 Payment
Payment is due as outlined in your moving contract. Accepted payment methods are listed on our Site or provided during booking.
2.4 Additional Fees
Additional charges may apply for:
• Long carries
• Stairs or elevator delays
• Shuttle trucks
• Packing materials
• Oversized or specialty items
• Storage
• Waiting time
• Last‑minute changes
• Access issues
2.5 Late Payments
Late payments may incur additional fees as specified in your service agreement.
3. Bookings, Cancellations & No‑Show Policy
3.1 Booking
A booking is confirmed only after approval from PackMark Movers and, when required, payment of a deposit.
3.2 Cancellations
Cancellations must follow the policy outlined in your service agreement. Certain cancellations may incur fees.
3.3 No‑Show / Access Issues
If the customer is not present, items are not ready, or access is restricted (parking, elevators, building entry), PackMark Movers may charge waiting time or rescheduling fees.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
• Be present during loading and unloading
• Provide accurate inventory and access details
• Ensure parking availability
• Properly pack items if self‑packing
• Disconnect appliances
• Seal and label all boxes
• Comply with building rules and elevator reservations
PackMark Movers is not responsible for delays or damages caused by failure to meet these responsibilities.
5. Non-Allowable Items
For safety and legal reasons, we do not transport:
• Hazardous materials (chemicals, fuel, aerosols, propane, etc.)
• Perishables or open food
• Firearms or ammunition
• Cash, jewelry, or irreplaceable valuables
• Live plants or animals
• Illegal items
Customers are responsible for removing these items before the move.
6. Valuation Coverage & Insurance
6.1 Basic Liability Coverage
All moves include standard liability coverage at $0.60 per pound per item, as required by law.
6.2 Full-Value Protection (If Offered)
If available, customers may purchase additional valuation coverage. Terms will be provided separately.
6.3 Exclusions
We are not liable for:
• Owner‑packed boxes
• Electronics not packed in original packaging
• Pre‑existing damage
• Items with internal mechanical defects
• Fragile items not properly packed
• Damage due to weather, road conditions, or circumstances beyond our control
7. Liability and Claims
7.1 Damage to Property
We take every precaution to protect your items. However, PackMark Movers is not liable for damages resulting from improper packing, pre‑existing conditions, or circumstances outside our control.
7.2 Claims Process
Claims must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery and must include photos and supporting documentation. Receipts or proof of purchase may be required.
7.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PackMark Movers’ liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected Services or the valuation coverage selected.
8. Delays & Uncontrollable Circumstances
PackMark Movers is not responsible for delays caused by:
• Traffic
• Weather
• Road closures
• Building restrictions
• Elevator issues
• Mechanical breakdowns
• Acts of God
These delays do not constitute grounds for refunds.
9. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if:
• Conditions are unsafe
• Items violate our policies
• The customer is abusive or threatening
• Payment terms are not met
10. User Conduct
By using our Site or Services, you agree not to:
• Violate any law or regulation
• Provide false or misleading information
• Interfere with our operations
• Use our Services for illegal purposes
11. Intellectual Property
